Melbourne Head BBQ

With races fast approaching don’t forgot to pencil in our first race on the Yarra for the year. Melbourne Head takes place on Saturday 19th of November. There’s no boat loading or unloading so we will be trying to get as many boats on the water as possible. Even better news is we will be opening the bar and having a barbecue at the conclusion of races – from 1pm.
More details to come on arrangements, for now pencil it in your diaries, let your coach or Head of Rowing know if you plan to race.
We also need volunteers to cook up a storm on the BBQ and help with a shift on the bar if you have an RSA – please email [email protected] if you can help.

Australia Day BBQ

Aussie BBQ
Why not spend Tuesday 26th January with friends relaxing and enjoying our beautiful riverside terrace?
The club bar will be open from midday and friends and family are welcome to come along and enjoy our prime venue. We’ll be throwing some ‘snags on the barbie’ but otherwise this is a self catered event so bring along whatever you would like.
The day is all about relaxing and having fun so we’ll try and keep it stress free for all with our RSAs helping out on the bar and everyone pitching in to sizzle a sausage.

All being well it will be a beautiful Summers day and we’ll head out for a row before hand to work up an appetite.
If you want to let me know you’ll be coming along and/or coming down for a row at 10am just email [email protected].au

Club Social – Now Thursday 12th March

Due to Moomba disruptions this week and a few people taking a well deserved rest following our exploits at state championships last weekend (look out for a blog round-up coming soon on those results) we have postponed the club social until next Thursday.
So on Thursday 12th March the bar will be open and we will organise to get some pizzas (with everyone chiping in some cash) after training. This evening is designed to be a very informal catch-up and chance to just sit back and enjoy an evening with friends at the clubhouse after a pleasant evening row. Make sure you sign up on sportsplanner for the row or if you can’t make it to training you are of course welcome to come and join us for some drinks afterwards. It will be a great chance to say cheers to all those who put in so much effort in the Vic states and sprint season campaign.
